Sparking a Lifelong Love for Reading at Phoenix Cambridge

At Phoenix Cambridge, we truly believe that books are more than just printed pages—they are magical portals to new worlds and new ways of thinking. Nurturing a love for reading isn’t just about helping our students do better in school; it’s about helping them grow into curious, creative and confident individuals who never stop learning.

Reading: A Window to the World
Let’s face it—our kids are growing up in a world full of distractions. With screens all around, it is easy for the joy of reading to get lost. That is why we work hard to make reading feel like an adventure, not a chore. Reading builds focus, boosts vocabulary, and sharpens thinking—but beyond all that, it helps kids see the world through different lenses and connect with stories that matter.

A Global Celebration: International Children’s Book Day
On April 4th this year, we celebrated International Children’s Book Day, a special event honoring the magic and impact of literature for young readers. This worldwide celebration also honors Hans Christian Andersen, the beloved author whose enduring tales continue to enchant readers across the globe.
At Phoenix Cambridge, we immersed ourselves in the spirit of the occasion through engaging book review sessions that explored vibrant literary genres. Students journeyed into stories from diverse cultures, gaining a deeper appreciation for the universal magic of words and imagination. The day served as a powerful reminder that storytelling transcends boundaries, uniting us all regardless of where we come from.

Our Library: A Reader’s Paradise
Fueling our passion for reading is our advanced library, which boasts a broad and steadily enlarging collection. The library caters to a wide range of interests, from picture books for early readers to classics, biographies, and modern fiction for older students.
Our library is more than a place for reading—it is a hub of creativity. Students are encouraged to explore, reflect and share and regular library periods keep the reading experience fresh and exciting.

More Than Just Books: Creating a Culture of Reading
At Phoenix Greens, the joy of reading extends far beyond the confines of the library. It is woven into everything we do—whether it’s classroom projects that involve literature, school-wide book fairs, or reading challenges. We believe reading should be something children enjoy with their parents, teachers and peers—something that becomes a part of their daily life.
At Phoenix Cambridge, our goal is simple—we don’t just want our students to learn to read; we want them to love it. From joyful celebrations to our inspiring library, every step we take, we are planting the seeds for a lifelong habit that will empower them far beyond their school years.
Cheers to countless stories, thrilling adventures, and an ever-growing community of readers! Let’s keep turning those pages.
